Main use of desoldering braid in motherboard repair is to accurately absorb and remove residual solder.
Its specific application scenarios include:
• When removing components: It absorbs the short-circuited or excess solder between pins to ensure the components are removed smoothly.
• When repairing solder joint faults: It eliminates old solder that is oxidized or poorly soldered, preparing for re-soldering to form flat new solder joints.
• When cleaning pads: It removes residual solder dross on the pads, restores the flatness and conductivity of the pads, and prevents poor soldering in subsequent processes.
Specifications:
Material: Copper
Width of desoldering wick: 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm
Length of desoldering wick: 1.5 meter / piece
Features:
1. With low residue design-- This solder braid helps clean spare solder on the pin away to avoid short circuit, especially great for small, hard to reach areas.
2. Pure oxygen free copper wire-- No clean flux for easy usage. The solder wick can help clean some residue flux and increase the speed of cleaning the PCB pad.
3. Braid design-- Copper wick with fine braid design to promote strong capillary action to pull in excess solder.
4. Features-- Oxidation resistivity, anti-corrosion protection and good thermal conductivity.
5. Widely use-- Can be used to correct mistakes with small boards on PCBs, remove relays and other components from printed circuit boards, re-solder mechanical keyboard switches, unsoldering old wire from devices, desoldering computer parts such as a motherboard and so on.

• The soft solder wire design enables fast heat conduction, suitable for rapid solder sucking.
• Copper Flat Pin Weave
• High surface tension minimizes thermal damage to circuit boards
How to use it?
Step 1: place the desoldering wick on the soldering point of the circuit boards to be removed. Step 2: Then use an electric soldering iron tip to lightly press and heat, the solder residue will be absorbed by the desoldering wick after melting. Step 3: Once the solder residue has been absorbed, remove both the soldering iron and the desoldering braid wick. Cut off the wick had been used, repeat this process if needed.
